Description
Each red, round Nexavar film-coated tablet contains sorafenib tosylate 274mg equivalent to 200mg of sorafenib and the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, sodium lauryl sulphate, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide and ferric oxide red. 
Common uses
Nexavar is an anticancer medicine to treat adults with kidney cancer called advanced renal cell carcinoma. Nexavar has not been studied in children. 
Contraindications
Nexavar may cause birth defects or death of an unborn baby. Women should not get pregnant during the treatment with Nexavar and for at least 2 weeks after stopping treatment. Men and women should use effective birth control during treatment with Nexavar and for at least 2 weeks after stopping treatment. Do not take Nexavar if you are allergic to anything in it. Tell your doctor about all of your health conditions and about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements. Especially, tell your doctor if you take warfarin ( Coumadin) 
Dosage
The usual dose of Nexavar is 2 tablets taken twice a day ( for a total of 4 tablets per day). Swallow Nexavar tablets whole with water. Take Nexavar on an empty stomach ( at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal). If you miss one dose of Nexavar, skip the missed dose, and take your next dose at your regular time. Do not double your dose of Nexavar. Call your doctor if you take too much Nexavar.
