Risperidonum 1mg; Acidum benzoicum (E210) (K); Excip. ad solut. pro 1ml. 

For the treatment of schizophrenia, psychoses, dementia with hallucinations or aggressiveness; severe maniacal crisis (with bipolar disturbances) in combination with mood stabilizers. 

Dementia with Parkinson's symptoms or Lewy's bodies dementia; children < 15years; late dyskinesia; malign neuroleptic syndrome; lactation; tablets 2mg: hypersensitivity to azoic dyes and analgetics. 

The solution can be taken with a non-alcoholic drink, except for tea. Use a 3ml measuring glass and take a minimum of 0.25ml. Administer 1 or 2 times/daily. Split doses higher than 8mg daily in two divided doses ( morning and evening). Schizophrenia and other psychoses: adults <65years old: 1°day: 2mg/daily. 2°day: 4mg/daily. Keep this dosage or adapt it individually. Maintenance dosage: 4-6mg/daily. Dosages higher than 5mg twice daily are not more effective than lower dosages, but they have more side effects. Adults >65years old: start with 0.5mg twice daily, then adapt individually or increase if required up to 1-2mg twice daily (2-4mg daily). Behavioural disturbances in patients affected by dementia: start with 0.25mg twice daily. If required adapt individually by doses of 0.25mg twice daily at two days interval min.. Maintenance dosage: 0.5-1mg twice daily; once the optimal dosage has been reached, take one single daily dose. Suspend treatment after 3months max and resume it only if behavioural disturbances reappear. A sedative effect can be obtained in combination with some benzodiazepines. Combined treatment of acute maniacal crisis: start with 2mg once daily; then adapt individually by doses of 2mg daily with a 2days interval min. Maintenance dosage: 2-6mg daily.
